Westblock Pacific selected Mountain to build its new manufacturing facility in DuPont, WA. Now part of Basalite Concrete Products, the business is a major producer of concrete block and sacked concrete for the construction industry.
This project included multiple structures, utilizing poured-in-place concrete, concrete masonry units, and factory-engineered steel construction. The production building was designed to house the block manufacturing lines, 10 kilns, and 2 drive-over aggregate storage areas. The 65 ft tall concrete sack facility was built to include 2 rotary drying kilns, additional aggregate storage bins, mixers, and packaging/sacking equipment. Two additional dry storage buildings totaling 41,000 sq were also a part of the project.
Since the initial construction, Mountain has continued to work with Basalite over the years on additional improvements to the original project.
