Kre-8-tive Kidz Daycare Center

Mountain Construction is proud to announce the completion of the Kre-8-tive Kidz Daycare Center, an 11,588-square-foot facility in Bonney Lake and the newest location for the growing early learning program. Designed to serve children of all ages, the center provides a warm, engaging environment supported by a curriculum focused on science, arts, math, reading, and multilingual language development.

As General Contractor, Mountain led project coordination, managing subcontractors, schedule, budget, and design collaboration. Our team also self-performed key scopes of work, including concrete, doors and hardware, and light carpentry. Working alongside longtime partner Helix Design Group and owner Caral Cabiya, the project was guided by a shared goal of creating a space that is both functional and inviting for children, families, and staff.

The completed facility balances design and function. The lobby features wood vaulted ceilings and an open feel, while classrooms are defined by bold accent colors that begin at each entry and continue throughout the space. A large indoor playroom, highlighted by a forest-themed mural, creates a central area for activity and interaction. Outdoor spaces further support learning and play, with an immersive playground, soft turf surfacing, and a dedicated trike track.

Early involvement in design coordination, particularly with MEP systems, helped support an efficient construction process. The project team worked well together throughout, resulting in a well-crafted facility delivered on budget and built to support the needs of the community it serves.
