The 1900: A Landmark Food Hall Built for the Fair’s 125th

We’re excited to announce the completion of The 1900 Food Hall & Rooftop Bar—a vibrant new culinary destination that debuted at the Washington State Fair’s 125th anniversary this summer.

Replacing the longtime International Village, The 1900 is a nearly 30,000-square-foot indoor–outdoor complex with six chef-curated restaurants and a rooftop bar overlooking the fairgrounds. Designed to celebrate tradition while elevating the fairgoing experience, it’s already a new landmark at the Fair.

Mountain led the build in partnership with Jeff Brown Architecture, PCS Structural Solutions, JMJ Team, and dozens of trusted subcontractors. In under 10 months, our team delivered a custom steel structure housing seven commercial kitchens, food court seating, restrooms, and a rooftop bar and patio—all tailored to the Fair’s vision.

“This project took everyone pulling together,” said Mike Mayer, Vice President at Mountain Construction. “From the Fair’s leadership to our subcontractors and suppliers, hundreds of people put in the effort to make it happen. To see The 1900 come together in under a year—and know it will be a fixture for years to come—is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

Don’t miss The 1900 on your next visit to the Washington State Fair, open now – September 21, 2025.
