Black Bear Diner, a growing family-oriented restaurant concept, selected the Sunrise Village center in Puyallup for a new location. For this project, existing interior space was demolished and then enlarged to accommodate a new full commercial kitchen, booth and table seating, a breakfast bar, outdoor seating, and larger bathrooms. Special interior features include log columns, bear carvings, a rustic metal canopy over the breakfast bar, custom cabinetry, an etched glass bear wall, and wood tile flooring. The bear-themed atmosphere is consistent throughout the building, including a hanging wood sculpture of a bear riding a motorcycle
