Mountain Construction was founded in 1978 and has grown to be a leading general contractor in the South Puget Sound. Our primary business is building low-rise commercial, industrial and institutional projects for private sector clients.
Jim Mayer, president of Mountain Construction, has over 30 years of management experience in manufacturing and construction-related businesses. Jim’s prior roles include several years as general manager of Basalite Concrete Products and as well as sixteen years as owner and president of Concut, Inc., a manufacturer of diamond tools and equipment. Jim deeply values the long-standing collaborative relationships that Mountain has built with its clients, sub-contractors and employees over the years.
Jeff Stroud, vice president of Mountain, is a seasoned industry veteran with 40 years of construction management experience. He has been with Mountain since 1991 as an owner and has led the company’s development over the years. Jeff has served on the board of the Association of General Contractors of Washington and is highly regarded as a local industry leader. His expertise in construction management is a huge asset to our clients, who benefit from his skill in identifying the right approach to any type of building project.
